Research Requests & Duplication Fees

Welcome to the Jane C. Sween Research Library and Special Collections! We are happy to assist you remotely with any request, small or large. 

NOT ALL REQUESTS WILL INCUR FEES. Please contact us with your research need and we will assist you!

Fees for research cover time spent on the request and documentation of the research process, including citations for all sources consulted regardless of results. An estimate of time will be provided in advance of charges; if additional time is required, the patron will be asked to approve the extension before the time is spent. The research fee does not cover photocopies, photo digitization, or postage fees. 

Remote Research Fee: $50 for the first hour; $30 for each subsequent hour. 

Duplication of Materials

$25 minimum for digitization of documents or files 100+-page documents or fragile/oversized materials may incur additional fees. 

$0.50/page for photocopies Fees cover our expenses for paper, ink, and maintenance of machines.

$10.00/image for high-resolution photograph scans Our digital photographs are currently provided free of charge at 300 dpi; any request for higher resolution will incur the fee.
