Exhibit Reception at the Beall-Dawson House, 3-4 p.m. Join us for a reception in honor of our Student Advisory Committee, who curated the current exhibit in the Year of the Hat. From 3 to 4 p.m. the House and exhibit will be open for free. Meet the members of the Committee and check out their work!

Genealogy Help in the Library: First Fridays, 10:30 - 12:30. Need some help with your genealogical research? MCHS’s librarian, and other professional genealogists who volunteer their time, will help with your questions. The session is included with the library research fee (members free). It is recommended that you call Pat Andersen in the library a day or two before you come, so we can prepare ahead and have adequate assistance available: 301-340-2974. $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors & students; free to members.

Dr. Stonestreet Office Hours. Visit with Dr. Edward E. Stonestreet (as portrayed by MCHS interpretive docent, Clarence Hickey) as he holds his regular office hours the second Sunday of every month. Learn the realities of 19th century medical treatments as Dr. Stonestreet shares his medical knowledge and teaches visitors to make pills and remove bullets. 12:00-4:00 in the Stonestreet Museum of 19th Century Medicine. Included with museum admission - $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors & students; free to members.
