Montgomery County History Day

HistoryDayAttention History Education enthusiasts!  The Montgomery County History Day competition, hosted by MCHS, is scheduled for Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, MD.  The county contest includes a junior competition for grades 6-8, and a senior competition for grades 9-12.  Student entries include documentaries, performances, websites, papers, and exhibits.  The 32 winning projects go on to the Maryland History Day competition. In years past, Montgomery County students have advanced through the state to the national competition!

We are in need of volunteer judges to review the student entries on the day of the event, provide commentary and determine which projects should advance to the state level.  Volunteers to ensure the event runs smoothly are also needed. The event is fast approaching, but it’s not too late to sign up to volunteer!
