History Day 2012 - Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History

Theme books and rule books are available online from the Maryland Humanities Council, or you can pick up a copy at the Montgomery County Historical Society.

The Montgomery County competition, hosted by MCHS, is scheduled for Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Md.  The county contest includes a junior competition for grades 6-8, and a senior competition for grades 9-12.

All Montgomery County public schools, private schools, and homeschool students are welcome to register.  Students, take note!  Even if your school does not have a History Day program, you can still participate in the competition, as long as you have a teacher's signature on your registration form.

Schools should register their competitions with MCHS by Friday, January 20, 2012.

Student Entry Registration forms are due by Friday, February 24, 2012.  A teacher's signature is required to register.
