Typhoid Fever in Rockville, MD., Report of an Outbreak Caused by an Infected Water Supply From a Deep Well by L.L. Lumsden, Surgeon, United States Public Health Service. An analysis of privies on local wells when typhoid fever, appeared in Rockville in 1914, led to the discovery of contamination of the city well. Detailed charts showing levels of precipitation which affected local streams, onset of cases, age of patients and their occupations.
