Drawing Room

From the Drawing Room visitors may enter into the Dining Room.
The drawing room along with the front hall were the most public rooms in the house. These rooms have the most elaborate moldings, and the trim and the fireplace mantel in the drawing room is the most elegant. This room would have been used for entertaining. The tea table is set in preparation for afternoon visitors, tea being an important time for family and friends to get together and visit.
You may continue the tour above with the Dining Room, or visit the Getty Bedroom or the Slave Quarters next - or return to our Home Page.
